It's been about a billion degrees outside for what has felt like a hundred years.
Which makes designing and drawing Christmas stuff all the more weird.
Almost as weird as walking around Florida at Christmas-time, the sun blazing down from an unbroken blue sky, surrounded by Lego snowmen, and hearing 'Let It Snow' piped through the PA system. When it hasn't snowed in this particular part of the world since mammoths were resident.
It's in preparation for the FarGo Winter Makers' Market. It's just over a month since I did the Summer Market, yet here I am already preparing for the end of the year.
In between thinking up ideas for cards, and Proggy Christmas decorations ( that's a first, yeah ? ), I've been putting together a series of pin-badge designs - mostly Genesis & Pink Floyd themed - and adding to my A4 Genesis illustrations.
Most of my recent Genesis illustrations have been based on songs that don't rate amongst my favourites, from albums I haven't listened to in a very long time.
I've had to 'revisit' them - get reacquainted - and though a good number are never going to appear on my Top 10 Genesis tunes, I think I have gained a certain level of respect for a few of them.
Plus, there's no equivalence between how much I like a song, and how easily they lend themselves to an interesting picture concept.
