
The two posters I created for the 'Co-Op(t) Arty Party at FarGo Village.
It was a celebration [sarcasm] of Brexit, which kept having to be postponed because of the utter mess
the government was making in realising the EU Referendum result, some 3 years earlier.
These posters mean a lot to me, because it was the first time I'd had work accepted for an art show. Previously, I'd not really thought my work was of the kind that gets exhibited, but Brexit was something
I felt very strongly about (& still do), which gave me the motivation to apply.
They're a play on the (in my opinion) unhealthy obsession that the British have with outward passivity.
It's fine if you are a seething ball of hatred inside, just don't cause a scene.
Saying 'thank you' through gritted teeth. Apologising when somebody steps on *your* toes.
